About this piece
I made this piece for a fundraiser auction, and the winner chose the pattern. Geometric patterns are challenging to do in katazome, especially with bast fibers, which tend to shift on the pasteboard. Later I learned I could presize the fabric to make it easier, but this wasn't an option for me earlier.

Taken from a historical hakama design in the kyoto costume museum.
